Boletus is a genus of fungi of the Basidiomycota family in the family Boletaceae whose generic name is derived from the Latin word (latina boletus) which in turn derives from the ancient Greek word bolitos, meaning "mushrooms on earth" which includes much over 100 species.

Mushrooms have an exceptional aroma, are very rich in vitamins and proteins, low in calories and easy to cook.
